Adam Goodes
Adam Goodes is a champion Australian Rules football player with the Sydney
Swans. Adam holds an elite place in AFL history, winning two Brownlow Medals
and two premierships. He is a four-time All-Australian, member of the
Indigenous Team of the Century, and has represented Australia in the
International Rules Series. Adam is proud of his Indigenous heritage, and is
actively involved with several Indigenous sport and community programs.

Cathy Freeman
Cathy Freeman is the only person to have been named both Young Australian
of the Year and Australian of the Year. She first attracted national attention
as a 16-year-old at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland. Four years later
she won gold in both the 200m and 400m events at the Commonwealth Games in
Canada, where she famously carried an Aboriginal flag for her victory lap. She also won gold
at 2000 olympics and light the olympic torch.

Peter Hill
Brisbane-born Peter Hill was a
champion schoolboy athlete and apprentice plumber
before a car accident left him a quadriplegic at the age of 18. Undaunted by his
disability, he became a champion swimmer and wheelchair athlete. Hill set world
records in freestyle and breaststroke and won two silver medals at the 1980
Paralympics in the Netherlands. He also excelled in track events, winning gold
medals at the 1979 National Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Games in Perth.
